Question description

1.) An average electric field of magnitude 200 V/m exists between two plates separated by 5.0 cm. How large a potential difference exists from one plate to the other?

2.) If the electric field between your finger and some other object exceeds 3.0 x 106 V/m, a spark will jump. If you shuffle across a rug, a spark will jump when your finger is 0.20 cm from another person’s nose. Calculate the difference in voltage between your body and the other person’s body just before the spark jumps.
