Explanation & Answer
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
The federal government paid people ( writers) during the Great Depression to write voices and folklore and record history across America. Projects like Work Projects Administration (WPA) and Federal Writers’ Project can be said to have nurtured talents and collected voices across America. Some of these writers were ambivalent but the government projects provided employment to some notable 20th century writers and they produced comprehensive as well as impressive products. The government investing in federal arts paid off because the country acquired chronicles of what happened during this period which constituted a crucial element in history told by Americans who lived and worked during the Depression. The federal arts projects were a good government investment not only because they provided a source of livelihood for artists and writers, they also made a contribution to language and history.
