1) Log into SAP and review and filter the sales and marketing reports summarizing the transactions for Rounds 1-4 of the Advanced Manufacturing game.

  • Identify the best selling product(s) in each region.

North: 1kg Original (blueberry being a close second)

South: 1kg Nut

West: 1kg Original (strawberry being a close second)

  • Describe the process you used to identify each region's best selling product(s).

Used the Sales Order Report (ZVA05). Set a filter for rounds 1-4. Used subtotals for Area, Material Description, and Quantity. The products with the highest quantities sold in each region is what we used for the best selling products.

  • How do your product prices align with those for the other teams? Can you rule out product prices as a reason for the pattern you are seeing in regional product preferences?

Our prices have remained very competitive with the average prices listed in the ZMARKET report. At no point were our prices far below the market price, so we can safely say that this isn’t the reason for our high sales of these products in each region.

2) Based on your responses for item 1, specify the adjustments that you plan to make in your stock transfer plans for each product to each region. Develop an 18-cell table similar to that for Transaction Code ZMB1B that shows your plan to align your stock transfer plan with regional product preferences.

3) Given your responses for items 1 and 2, specify adjustments that you plan to make to your production plans.

Our group will definitely have to decide if we want to invest in additional capacity in order to make more boxes of Muesli or if we would prefer to continue reducing setup time.  Based on the highlighted numbers, we would need to increase our production of Original, Strawberry, Raisin, and Nut. Our group current capacity is still 24,000 boxes, which will cause us to have to wait at least two days to receive the amounts we projected for the new stock transfer. Changes will need to be made to our production schedule by making sure that Original and Nut are produced more frequently so that we do not run out of our best-sellers.


4) Given your responses for items 1, 2, and 3, specify the procurement and finished goods forecast adjustments (MD61) that you plan to make.
