Explain why Aaron Feuerstein felt his decisions were necessary for his company and for his employees.

The success of any company is dependent on the performance of its workforce. With a committed and motivated workforce, a company can achieve its objectives. Aaron Feuerstein acknowledged this fact and therefore made the decision. Even after the company burnt down, he still had a vision of reopening it and setting it back on track. This could only have been achievable if he retained his workers. It was therefore necessary to continue paying those employees in order to retain them. While it was harmful to the company at the time, it would have been beneficial in the long run. Aaron Feuerstein’s expectations were that once the employees are rehired back to the reconstructed company, they will be motivated to work and realize the goals of the company. Therefore, his decisions were necessary for both the company and its employees.
