Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Aaron Feuerstein was a CEO of Malden Mills, a textile company. the company was destroyed by fire in December 1995. Decision the CEO took: continued paying the salaries of all of his workers until he could finish rebuilding the factory.

According to Aaron Feuerstein it would have been unfair to lay off his employees as CEO of the company since the employees had been loyal to the company.

Pros: He was very sensitive to the needs of his employees. employees did not suffer after the company was burnt down since they continued receiving salaries. maybe if he could have laid them off they could be an increase in crime in the city as employees were close to 3000.

Cons of his decision: the company later was declared bankrupt and collapse and he was heavily blamed for the collapse of the company.
