  1. A proton moving with velocity 9.8 x .105 m/s enters a constant magnetic field of 2.00 T at an angle of 45 degrees. to the field. What is the magnitude and direction of the force acting on the proton? 

  2. An electron moves in a plane perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field. This makes the electron experience a centripetal force. If B = 4.5 x 10-3 T and the velocity of the electron is 1.40 x 107 m/s and its mass is 9.11 x 10-31 kg, then find the radius the centripetal acceleration of the electron.
