Why couldn't there be a single cell organism as large as the blob
Question Description
In the 1958 movie “The Blob” a giant single-celled alien creeps and oozes around, attacking and devouring helpless humans. Why couldn’t there be a real single-celled organism as large as the Blob from what you now about cells on earth? Conjecture on how such an organism could actually function like it did in the movie. What characteristics would it have to have to be single-celled and as large as it is in the movie
