Question description

Two of the best golfers in the world today are Jordan Spieth (he’s only 22) and Jason Day.  A golf enthusiast was interested in who could drive the ball furthest from the tee box. The golf enthusiast believed Jordan Spieth drives the ball shorter than Jason Day. He gathered data on their driving distances throughout the year using data from multiple tournaments.  He looked at 35 holes from Jordan Spieth and found his mean driving distance was a 312 yards with a standard deviation of 8 yards.  He looked at 41 holes from Jason Day and found his mean driving distance was 321 yards and a standard deviation of 18 yards.

Run a full hypothesis test using an alpha level of 0.01 and looking at both the test statistic and the p-value.
