Carboxylic acid derivatives/enolates/ a carbon organic chemistry synthesis

Question Description

I am currently working on carboxylic acids, their derivatives, and alpha carbon chemistry. I am stuck on this synthesis question and am hoping to get some help!! I believe one step will be enolate chemistry involving a michael reaction but am not sure how to approach the acetal correctly. A photo is attached. Would you be willing to show me a reasonable synthesis?
