A significant overall issue had been identified by the CEO in that there exists a lack of alignment
between the IT and business objectives of Dentdel Inc. The company has its setting on a very
competitive industry since it is involves in supplying dental supplies to dental providers. The
distribution operations of the company are done in wholesale manner, which requires timely
ordering and delivery as well as a viable marketing and sales approach.
The IT audit team was however able to identify some processes that were ineffective and led to
the current worrying situation at Dentdel Inc. COBIT framework greatly helped in identification
of the flaws. The framework is a support tool that allows linking of business goals to IT goals
which will eventually help the management team in the company assess their achievements by
identifying the specific roles and responsibilities of the business and IT stakeholders. COBIT
comprises of its framework that will aid in organizing IT goals and processes then link them to
