 Can you derive an equation for the relationship between your geographic latitude and the distance of the Sun from your zenith at the Summer solstice time?

In this case, the geographic latitutude is 39°6′18″N, the distance between the sun and the zenith is roughly 40 degrees, and the time is 1300 hours, on June 21.
