Description
This forum is focused on your preparation for your first couples counseling
session. In your original thread, be sure to include the following:
- Your back-up plan (another couple that you have in mind in case this couple
cancels; remember to protect your client's confidentiality by creating a
fictitious name). - An outline of what you plan to cover in your first session (including
assessments such as a genogram, love maps, questionnaires, a discussion on how
the couple met, etc). - Discussion of your pre-session "jitters" or concerns.
- Share how you plan to remember to use appropriate body language (Remember
SOLER: squarely face the clients, use open posture, lean in, and relax). - Describe what you think might come up next in your session with the couple.
- Discuss how you will describe the homework assignment to the couple (i.e.
the PAIR assessment). - Discuss how you will share with the the “pseudo-clients” that this is not
“real” counseling but is practice counseling for your premarital counseling
class. - Provide your script for how you will go over the informed consent including
how you will obtain the couple’s permission for the recorded clip of the session
and how you will explain the limits of confidentiality.
Your initial
thread must be posted by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday of Module/Week 2. You must
respond to 2 of your classmates' threads by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the
same module/week.

Clustering
The purpose of this assignment is to perform cluster analysis and
analyze clusters in a data set to determine whether or not the
information generated can be used to address a specific business
problem. For this assignment, you will use the "Wholesale Customers" data set
from the Topic Materials. Most data categories are self-explanatory.
Clarifying notes are as follows.Fresh: Annual spending (in $1000s) on fresh productsMilk: Annual spending (in $1000s) on milk productsGrocery: Annual spending (in $1000s) on grocery productsFrozen: Annual spending (in $1000s) on frozen productsDetergents_Paper: Annual spending (in $1000s) on detergents and paper productsDelicatessen: Annual spending (in $1000s) on delicatessen productsClient_Type: Type of client – either HoReCa (Hotel/Restaurant/Café) or RetailRegion: Region of client – either Lisbon, Oporto, or OtherA wholesale distributor wants to understand the purchasing profiles
of its clients. If a finite set of distinct profiles were defined, then a
marketing strategy could be designed specifically for each set of
similar clients. The company has compiled a data set that includes
annual client spending on diverse product categories. You have been
tasked with analyzing the data to determine what patterns emerge and how
these patterns can be used to create specific client marketing
profiles.Use k-means clustering to explore and analyze the data set by using only the quantitative variables to cluster the clients.Question 1: Explain the process you used to
define the clusters such as the number of clusters formed, the specific
variables used, etc. Include the "Cluster Sizes" and "Predictor
Importance" outputs when submitting the answer.Question 2: Interpret the clusters with
respect to the quantitative variables that were used in forming the
clusters. Include the "Clusters" output when submitting the answer.Question 3: Discuss whether there is a
pattern in the clusters with respect to the qualitative variables (i.e.,
Client_Type or Region). Include the charts illustrating these patterns
when submitting the answer.Question 4: Provide an appropriate name for each cluster using any or all of the variables in the data set.Question 5: Based upon your analysis, what
patterns emerged and how can these patterns be used to create specific
client marketing profiles? Include discussion of the characteristics for
each profile. Present your finding in the form of a 250-word executive
summary that includes relevant data, charts, and tables.General Requirements:Submit the answers to Questions 1-4 and the executive summary as Word documents.APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected. This assignment uses a grading rubric. Please review the rubric prior

intersection and Religious Discrimination, Psychology homework help
Assignment 1: Journal Entry:Intersection and Religious Discrimination
When pieces of cloth are sewn together, you might have trouble discerning the individual pieces of cloth that make the final garment, but by looking carefully, you can find the seams. You may have experienced similar difficulty in the first week of this course when asked to explore the individual aspects of culture that combine to create your unique self-identity. Forms of oppression can come together often in almost imperceptible ways to form the complex environment in which you and your clients live and interact. As a social worker, you must examine carefully the intersections between religious discrimination, sexism, classism, and racism so you can respond accordingly.
To prepare: Consider this week's resources that describe how religion intersects with other forms of oppression.
Submit your response to those resources and analyze what you think is the role of religion in reinforcing sexism, classism, and racism.
As a social worker, how can you address these issues on a micro and macro level?
Assignment 2: Race, Empowerment, and Cultural Competence
The ideas, attitudes, values, and beliefs with which people are surrounded as they grow up inform their perceptions about themselves and their place in the world. Family and religious systems are usually the first place that people get messages about themselves and others. Those messages can be positive and illustrate how important it is to embrace difference, or they can be full of hate and intolerance. For this Assignment, consider how your own ideas about race and ethnicity have been influenced by those around you.
Submit a 2-page paper that answers the following question:
How does your family and religious systems lead to your ideas about your own racial ethnic group as well as the racial and ethnic group of others?
Be sure to address the concepts of ethnocentric practice, empowerment and cultural competence. Please use the Learning Resources to support your answer.
