Respond to following statement:

In my personal opinion, there are already legislatures in place to prevent the use of excessive force by police officers. I feel that for more legislatures and laws, we instead need to have more enforcement to uphold these current legislatures and laws. For example, police personnel that dont follow the legislatures should be held accountable and properly punished, rather than not. Too many law enforcement officials are not being held accountable for their improper actions. Although I also believe that there are officers that dont abuse their police power and do follow the legislatures and laws. These officers should not be punished for the bad actions of other officers that do abuse their power and use excessive force against individuals during the detainment process
