PSY341 Research Paper Rubric 1 FinalAssignmentfor:PSY341 Research Paper Safe Assignment RubricsforPSY341 This rubric is a little different from other rubrics due to the structure of the course. The final project of the course is the culmination of all of the assignments within this Research Paper SafeAssignmentRubric. The Non-Research Paper SafeAssignment Rubricdescribes other assignments not related to your final research paper. FinalProjectDue by: 11:59pm(EST) Wednesdayof Unit8. Throughout the course, we will be building a mini-research study. Each unit you will be provided with information, and (based on that information) you will be asked to identify anewcomponentofa(hypothetical) mini-research study. Your grade and feedback for each week will be based on the quality of the new component. For example, in Unit 2 you will create a hypothesis, IV, and DV based on a topic that the Instructor provides to you. When we discuss sampling in Unit 3, you will be provided with a new, related hypothesis, IV, and DV, and will be asked to create a sample based upon them. In Unit 4, you will be provided with a hypothesis, IV, DV, and a new, related sample, and you will be asked to operationalize your variables based on that information. Thus, we will explore - and have you identify - a new component for each unit until we have every component necessary for a research paper.By theendof the course, the components with which you have been providedareto be compiled intoacompleted research project andsubmittedby 11:59pm (EST) Wednesday of Unit8.Thefinal papershouldbe8to 10pages long, typed double-spaced,TimesNewRoman,12ptfont. This will be about 6 pages long (not including title and references) and will resemble and follow the structure of a very brief but standard APA-Style research paper. It will look like a mixture between a research paper and an outline of a research paper. It will follow APA style. Please see the Research Paper Rubric in the Course Information page for specifics on how the completed paper, as well the Research Paper SafeAssignments will be graded. There will also be a sample research paper available in the Course Information page. For this Assignment, you will be graded on ten different components. 1. Compilation and organization of all new and previous information into the format of an APA-style research paper (that includes the Topic, Hypothesis, IV and DV, sample, operationalizations, procedure, and results provided to you), plus the following that you will create: adiscussion, literature review, title page, and reference section. 2. Date b. Author c. Hypothesis d. Sample e. IV and DV f. How the IV and DV are operationalized g. Design (qualitative or quantitative) h. Results (including which statistical analysis used) i. Limitations and future directions j. Relevance to your hypothesis Then, in a fourth paragraph, discuss the similarities and differences among the three articles. 4. Including a discussion section in paragraph format, including: a. Whether or not your hypothesis was supported (based on your analysis of data), and the implications of that b. How your findings compare to previous research, providing reasons for any discrepancies c. The limitations of your study d. Suggestions for future studies e. Running head: HEAT ON AGGRESSION
Topic: Heat on Aggression
Abstract
The research hypothesis implies that hot temperature is likely to push the rate of
aggressiveness and human behaviour. Explanations and theories put forward have explained the
reason for increased aggression observed when temperatures went up; they did not account the
reason for aggressions that took place out of the heating effects. The increase in temperatures
increased the rate of aggression due to the increased hostility and increased thoughts of
resentment. The recent trends in global warming also increased the rate of aggression due to the
heating effect. Climate change interventions induced a reduction in the rate of violent activities
that took place in those environments that the changes occurred.

The paper got availed online so that participants from distinct locations in the world
would have a chance to respond to the questionnaire in the least amount of difficulty. The sample
of the questions got divided into two main parts. Dahl, (2016) postulated that the first component
of the questionnaire entailed fixed questions whose responses got entered using the Likert scale
from one to five. The second stage was also sub-divided into two, with the first portion requiring
one to either enter yes or no as the response. Lastly, the remaining bit asked for the participant’s
opinion on various matters.
