Question description

Week 8 Discussion Forum

TipTip!

When answering questions in the weekly Discussion Forums, please remember to actively work on being both clear and specific in your writing. Actively working on your communication skills here, means writing your ideas out as fully as possible and not resorting to truncation, text-speak, or casual tones in grammar. After all, your PYear is an excellent place to practice and groom yourself for your professional career – something we all need to work on for the rest of our professional careers, I might add.

You can become clear and specific in your academic writing by not only planning and thinking carefully about how you are responding, but by also including considered reasons for selecting and discussing particular aspects of a question. Remember, 100-200 words is not much room to discuss your ideas, and you are not expected to grapple with everything, so be selective in what you choose to discuss.

Lastly, there are no 'right ' or 'wrong' answer to these questions, however you will need to demonstrate and convince your reader of your understanding and explicit engagement with the online course materials, and synthesise this with the practical experience your internship affords you.

Week 8 Discussion Guidelines

  1. Minimum number of posts required this week is 5 - (marks will be deducted if you post fewer).
  2. To keep the signal to noise ratio down, all posts must add to the meaning of the discussion and not just be a conversation.
  3. Answers must be written concisely; marks will be deducted if you “write a lot, but say nothing”.
  4. A quiz does not count as a post.

By Wednesday midnight (AEST)

Last week you completed the Project Context section, identified and analysed the 8 main risks in your project. You then entered the information into the Risk Register section of the RMP. Which means you performed Risk Identification and Qualitative Risk Assessment. Note, you will not be performing a Quantitative Risk Assignment on your project.

  1. Submit your completed Risk Management Plan together with your PE Assignment Cover to the Assignment 2 Drop Box

SOME FEEDBACK WHICH I GET FROM TUTOR PLZ KEEP TIS IN MIND THANKS

FOR JOURNAL

PLZ DONT

Your reflective journal for week 5 is acceptable however certain part you wrote seems to be opinion of an author thru your research rather than your own reflective thoughts; best is to use your own words and own examples to support your statement.

It could be improved if you have proper summary on project management and scope management from PE course content.

How can you relate HR Planning and controlling of HR to your internship and future professional development? Best to use your own example.

PROJECT PLAN PLZ CHANGE THE PROJECT PLAN ACCORDING TO THE RMP PLAN ... I NEED TO SUBMIT THAT AGAIN . PLEASE

PREVIOUS I AM NOT ABLE TO ATTACH BUT I WILL COPY HERE

PROJECT PLAN

Project Prepared by: Himani Lathwal

Organisation: Heart west

Project Name: Online Survey of Market Prices

Business Benefit:

It is important to find out the prices that the competition is charging within our targeted area of service. The work is intended to show the price that our parcel delivery services command. In so doing, the information gathered will help us to work out how to figure out to price our service and still maintain our margins.

Project Deliverables:

The tangible outcome that the paper should deliver is to give a clear pricing system that is currently in place in the market. This will help to give a clear view of the margins if we are to use pricing to edge out competition

Project Acceptance Criteria:

The success of the project will be determined by the creation of a cost-benefit analysis from the data I generate from the survey

Out of Scope:

The project will not survey the delivery of highly fragile commodities. These include products like liquid Petroleum Gas, toxic waste and other petroleum products

Key constraints:

The conditions that may limit my ability to manage the survey include:

  • The information on parcel delivery that is held at the local delivery union office is available only between 6am to 10am daily.
  • There is no funding for movement to the offices that I may have to visit when the need arises
  • Pauline a key resource, will be available only in the mornings as she makes deliveries in the afternoons
  • The office scooter will be able to send all my correspondence free of charge and quickly every day.
  • The office will provide all the resources necessary to carry out the project
  • Time to research the project granted from the management will be sufficient to complete the project
  • The office scooter might break down
  • The management may be out of the state when the time is right to implement the strategy to increase service provision.
  • The app that is used to track the current deliveries does not work correctly on mobile devices.

Key assumptions: These are the conditions that I believe to be true during the duration of this study

Key Risks: The main risks that go along with the project include.

Key stakeholders: Jennifer Morris, Jinny Chua

Estimated Duration:

I have set preliminary dates for the completing of the project to be a sum total of 34 days after beginning since there are seventeen firms that I will be surveying in the target area.

Estimated Level of Effort Four hours a day translating to one hundred and thirty six hours in total

Project team members: Himani Lathwal, Jennifer Morris

Authorisation N/A

THIS PLAN IS WRONG WHICH CHANGE IT .
