up at a distorting speed, which is changing virtually every dimension of businesses as well as our
lives. Consequently, new realities need to be defined because many economic conventions
previously used they no longer seem to apply. This has facilitated reassessment of America’s
business strategies and tactics (Iversen & Cusack, 2000). The new age has ushered in flexible
trends aligned to globalization, the emergence of competing for trade blocs and the proliferation
of trade agreements which are virtually affecting every business enterprise, every level of
industry and every nation. Understanding how a country perceives the effects of globalization
either positive or negative depends on how such country is keeping up with these realities of the
