INTRODUCTION


AIDS comes from a virus known as human immunodeficiency syndrome of which the body can not do away with
completely. It usually attacks the body immune system hence the body is unable to fight diseases. As a result, one gets

attacked by diseases which are referred to as opportunistic diseases.


The time at which these diseases attacks the body, it is no that that HIV is in its last stage. According to the research done
so far, there is no permanent cure. However, patients are given antiviral medicines which tries to strengthen their immune

system. If the patients takes the medicine as prescribed, they can stay even longer.

WHERE DID AIDS COME FROM?


Scientists have had speculation that the source of the virus is from chimpanzees. They guess that during hunting in

central Africa is where human beings came into contact with flesh blood. These humans were hunting the animals for
meat consumption.


Other base their arguments on that the virus was transferred to human beings and later being mutated. On the other hand,

other group of scientists do claim that the virus may have jumped form apes to human beings. According to the statistics
made, AIDS has been there for decades transferring to other parts of the world slowly. It has been there in America since
early 1970s.
