The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution are three
important founding documents of U.S. which Criminal Justice Professionals should have deep
knowledge about. The Declaration of Independence does not have a legal standing but it gives an
insight of how the United States was established as a sovereign country. It has powerful
statements which affect the enforcement of the modern laws by the Criminal Justice
