Ethics enable a person to differentiae a person’s moral decision making process and
perceive on the wrong and right. Decisions that are made within an organization could be made
by specific individual or groups. However the decision maker is influenced by the culture and
ways of the company. The decision to act ethically is a moral aspect. The people involved must
decide on the right direction and what will benefit everyone in the long run. Ethical guidelines
are generally adopted by organizations to help members in understanding the difference between
applying the 'right' and 'wrong' aspect to their decisions. An ethical code summarizes documents
at three levels: codes of business ethics, codes of conduct for employees, and codes of
professional practice (Flores, Albert, 1998).
The American Counseling Association is one of the world’s largest organizations that are
involved with representing professional counselors in different practice settings. The American
Counseling Association pledges a ready stand and eagerness to serve members with the
resources they need to make a difference by enhancing the quality of life in the society by the
ways of promoting the development of professional and expert counseling. Using the profession
