Question Description

Only part a and b, I'll give you the background info for the problem

I have tried 2a on MATLAB, however I get an error, and i can't get a circular plot. I will give you code once you accept my bid

Homework 7 Due: Monday, 3/27/2017 Textbook Problems (40 Points) Section 5.2 Problems (P. 293): 1*, 3*, 5*, 27, 29 *Do not need to generate slope fields. Matlab Problem (60 Points) Recall the orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) as an example of differential equations applied to a real-world problem. Part (a) (20 Points) We discussed that the orbital velocity must be constant if the orbit were circular. Recall also that, if ISS were moving in a circular orbit, the orbital velocity must be equal to the product of the orbital radius and the angular velocity. Based on these observations, find the “initial conditions” for the orbit of ISS. Justify your answers. 𝑟! =? 𝑟! =? 𝜃! = 0 𝜃! =? Part (b) (20 Points) Plot the trajectory of ISS by numerically integrating the system of differential equations. Set the range of time (your independent variable) to be equal to the orbital period of ISS. In order to plot on the x-y plane, be sure to convert positions from the polar coordinates to Cartesian coordinates.
