The proposal focuses on the issue of teen pregnancy. In this context, the word “teen”
refers to females between the ages of 15 and 19 years. Although statistics reveal that the number
of teenage pregnancies in the United States dropped by 9% in 2014 as compared to previous
year, this phenomenon presents serious challenges for the pregnant females as well as the
country. It is uneconomical for the government as hundreds of billions are spent on teenage
pregnancy. For the affected teens, pregnancy at such an early age is likely to have negative
educational and health implications.
Goal and Objectives
The goal of this program is to increase the number of young adolescent’s enrollment
in Missouri teen pregnancy prevent programs annually. Allow teens to be enrolled up to the
age of 20 years old.
The first objective of the program is to provide state and locally funded school
programs in Missouri for pregnant teens who need to finish school. The second objective is to
increase the number of programs in order to attract more funding for the schools. The third
objective is to provide Missouri communities with education on the implications of teen sex
and the benefits of staying abstinent. The final objective is to introduce programs that provide
education for safe sex and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
Strategies for Program Implementation and Evaluation
For the program to be implemented effectively, the paper proposes an overhaul of sex
education in schools so that teens are prepared to counter their sexual impulses. For the

purpose of evaluation, the online survey should be structured in such a way that it fosters
honest responses from the participants.
