My Opinion of Barrack Obama
In the excitement of the rhetoric propagated by the media, it is easy to forget the actual
achievements of a president. Like all other presidents, Barrack Obama experienced highs and
lows during his presidency. It is however undeniable that he has achieved significant milestones.
Picking up the mantle at a time when America’s economy and image abroad was very poor, he
steered the country towards economic recovery and improved global perception. He has had
several impressive firsts such as having minority woman justice and legalizing gay marriage that
impressed most Americans. His consistent effort to improve cooperation between people and
strengthen diplomacy was recognized in 2009 with the award of a Nobel Peace Prize. Regardless
of the challenges he may have suffered during his tenure, Obama’s qualities and
accomplishments are worth celebrating. Some of the key achievements of Obama include the
reforming healthcare sector, solving the economic recession, reviving the auto industry, and
promoting environmental protection through clean energy (Anderson 149). These achievements
have accrued huge benefits to Americans. In light of his achievement, Barrack Obama is one of
the best presidents America has had.
