role of pay, managerial need support, and justice in a self‐determination theory model of
intrinsic work motivation. Scandinavian journal of psychology, 56(4), 447-457.

The authors try show the link between motivation and money and also illustrate the debate
that has been going on for some time now especially in work related issues in many of the
organizations. Investigative studies have shown that employee motivation lacks a great deal
due to low pay and the many empirical studies brought forth in an effort to address the issue

establish the perceived distribution and the justice in association with the outcome in regard

It is important to understand Motivation and Emotion and how it affects the human character.
Mr. Reeve defines what motivation and emotion and how both intercede each other.
Additionally, the book goes on to illustrate where motivation comes from, how it changes
and why it is perceptive to time change. Furthermore, the author goes on to demonstrate how
the principles of motivation can be applied into real life situations.
It is evident from the book that Reeve’s writing is indeed not only engaging, but also very
exciting through capturing recent advancements on the topic and engaging it with the new
and current ones all in a bid to ensure the reader understands what exactly psychologists are
excited about contemporary motivation. Notably, the book uses illustrative examples
showing how the study of motivation can indeed be encrypted into our daily lives.
Combination of both the ideas and the theoretical foundation plus fusion with the current
research and some of the practical applications does indeed provide the reader with a clearer
illustration and most importantly understanding as to why and how people do behave on their
surroundings.
