HESS Corporation is an international company that is independent. It is involved in the provision
of energy and produces natural gas. It also produces crude oil. Its headquarters are in New York
City. HESS Corporation changed its name from Amerada Hess Corporation to the current HESS
Corporation. HESS Corporation has been successful in many ways as we shall see. It has been
successful in Tubular Bells project in deepwater Miocene play. This company was ranked the
best in the making of the floating production system. I will do the analysis of this organization
through various analysis techniques. One of the techniques that I will focus on is the SWOT
analysis. The other methods that I will use are the PEST analysis, and Porter’s five forces
analysis.
The initials SWOT stands for strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats. Hess Corporation
has various advantages that enable it to perform well and to be able to run its operations well. It
is these strengths that make this corporation successful since it is aware of the strengths. The
company makes use of six core values that guide their operations. These values are well known
to the organization’s management and the employees of the organization.
The first value that this company uses of and which shows one of its strengths is Integrity. This
corporation ensures that its customers trust it by offering high-quality services and offering
goods of the best quality. The corporation has created trust in the workers by motivating them
and making them feel as part and parcel of the organization. Community being necessary for any
given organization has also trusted the corporation and hence offers a good environment in
which the organization can carry out its activities. The community, therefore, does not object the
activities conducted by this organization. This ensures its continuity without a lot of objection.
Investors have also build trust in this organization. Those that invest in shares and other activities
