Leap into darkness
Leap into the Darkness is a broad chronicle of one Jewish boy's continued existence and
of the folks and the humanity he left behind. The introduction of the book is based on the entry
of Hitler into Australia in the year ninety thirty-eight. The book recounts the early life of a young
boy known as Bretholz whose early life was faced with a lot of difficulties such as trying to
survive by escaping the holocaust by getting out Nazis. The incidence did not happen once but
seven –years of war and calamities crisscrossing Warton Europe.
In search of safety from the wars and other calamities, the young boy jumped from trains,
outran the police hid in the attic cellars and anywhere that presented only some more second of
safety. The different places that he got the few second of safety he would use the opportunity to
catch a breath and also figure the next move or the next area that seem to be safe.
Bretholz was seventeen years old when German invaded Austria and colonized it. The
native of Austria tried to fight back to acquire their freedom back from the German. Whoever,
the Germany was not willing to give up the land due to the resources available and due to the
differences, the Austrian citizen decides to up a fight for their land. (Leo et al., 1998) This led to
seven years of war in the country that had a lot of damages to many peoples’ lives and also
