The Masterclass of “Singin’ in the Rain”
Singin’ in the rain was a film first hosted by MGM at the Radio City Music Hall inside New
York. The video was starring Gene and Debbie and as a melody spoofing piece and contains a lot
which make it a hit. The film which was acted by experienced and renowned actors such as Gene
Kelly and Debbie embraces wonderful music and interesting dancing which when intermixed
with some very funny comedy makes it a solid hit. The production led by Arthur Freed is a good
one which has a good choice of scenes for the settings and with the enhancement of the good
color choice for a movie of 1952; it makes it a master class of its time. With the choice of movie
scenes by the writer, the well-directed performances within the film and the good plot, Singin’ in
the Rain remains a standout piece of art worthy watching.
