Introduction
Marketing involves all the activities of a given company related with purchase and sales
of a specific product or even service. Marketing may include, selling, advertising and delivery of
products to people. Marketing is always aimed at getting the attention of the target market by use
different methods (Malhotra et al., 2013). The methods may include; use of slogans, celebrity
endorsements, packaging designs as well as the media exposure.
Target market
The demographic market usually focuses on the specific gender, income level, education
level or even age group. Demographically, target market for Apple Inc. would be the teenagers,
students, kids, business people as well as the adults. Most of the teenagers use iPods often for
numerous reasons. The reasons may include the need to socialize with their friends, to listen to
music as well as visiting Facebook, twitter etc. on regular basis. In addition, the Apple products
have numerous gaming apps which appeal much to the teenagers. Currently, iPod is a trend with
many teenagers.
University and college students are also targeted market for the Apple Inc. most of the
students use the Apple Inc. products like MacBook’s, iPhone’s, and iPad’s to quickly write down
their notes. The notes are then stored organized in the devices for future retrieval. The main
advantage of the Apple products is that they are portable hence carrying them to and from school
is very easy.
