Organizational culture can be defined as a system of shared values, beliefs and
assumptions that govern the manner in which individuals behave and carry themselves in an
organization (Alvesson & Sveningsson, 2015). These values dictate the way employees in the
organization dress, relate with each other and carry out their jobs in the organization. Each
organization has their own developed unique culture that provides the guidelines for the behavior
of their employees (Alvesson & Sveningsson, 2015). Organizational culture plays a significant
role in determining whether or not employees will be retained for a longer time compared to
other organizations (Alvesson & Sveningsson, 2015). In other words, it is a selling point for most
companies. It also determines the attractiveness of the organizations to other employees. An
organization with an inclusive and favorable culture is likely to receive numerous job
applications whenever they announce a vacancy because everyone would love to be part of that
