Role Rehabilitation Program in Reducing Recidivism
Recidivism is a situation where the criminals who have been released from incarceration
relapse into the criminal behavior and are re-imprisoned. The number of inmates has inflated in
the United States compared to any country in the entire world. The punitive practices which are
witnessed in the cells stigmatize the inmates and hence leading to the increased number of the
inmate population. There are several programs which have been started to reduce the number of
inmates relapsing back into crimes.
