Visual Basic .NET Application – Coding Exercise 3 (Exercise 13, Zack, 2016, p. 642)
For this coding exercise:
- Create an application that can be used to calculate the cost of installing a fence around a rectangular area.
- Create the application, using the following names for the solution and project, respectively: Fence Solution and Fence Project. Save the application in the VB2015\Chap11 folder.
- Use Windows to copy the Rectangle.vb file from the VB2015\Chap11 folder to the Fence Solution\Fence Project folder.
- Use the Project menu to add the Rectangle.vb class file to the project.
- Modify the class to use Double (rather than Integer) variables and properties.
- Add a method named GetPerimeter to the Rectangle class. The method should calculate and return the perimeter of a rectangle. To calculate the perimeter, the method will need to add together the length and width measurements, and then multiply the sum by 2.
- Create the interface shown in Figure 11-30 (zak, 2016). The image for the picture box is stored in the VB2015\Chap11\Fence.png file. Code the application and then test it appropriately. (Hint: Using 120 feet as the length, 75 feet as the width, and 10 as the cost per linear foot of fencing, the installation cost is $3,900.00.)

Hello, This assignment is a little different from the last as it is a project that I have been working on but that I need a little help with getting over the hump. I am trying to build an auditing database. Think of it as a way that a program like splunk would take in data and utilize its database to send out alerts to the proper admins. I have attached my other iterations to show what my spirit and intent is with this assignment. If you have any questions please let me know. We will use the nature of the stacks and queues to solve the problem.SpecificationsRulesFIU has opened a new valet parking lot next to the PC building that requires a special decal to park. As the developer, you can select the special decal and the program should ask the user what decal they have for the car. If the user does not have the correct parking decal to park in the lot, the driver should be told nicely that they do not have the correct permit to park in this lot. For the purposes of this program, we will assume that the user always tells the truth about the decal they have for their car.The parking lot is a “last-in, first-out” stack. When parking a new car, the program must first check to see if the car has the correct decal. If it does have the correct permit, the car may be added to the lot as long as there is enough room. To park a car, the car’s license tag is added to the parking lot stack. The parking lot can hold 20 cars at a time. If the parking lot is full, a waiting car can be added to a waiting queue. When a car leaves the lot, the next car in the queue will be able to park in the parking lot before allowing a new car to be entered. When a car owner retrieves a vehicle that wasn’t the last one in, the cars blocking it must temporarily move to the street so that the requested vehicle can leave.Write a program that models this behavior, using one stack representing the the parking lot and one stack representing the street.
