1. STEPS AND APPROACHES UTILIZED TO ACCOMPLISH SYSTEM METRICS
Metric in system design is a measurable attribute of the system that is, for instance, the project
size.
In software engineering and especially in the conceptual design there are different ways and
requirement for estimating various system metrics. Primarily system metrics help in maintaining
the control of the system and the project in general that is how close or how far we are from the
object that was set in terms of system quality, performance, and even compliance. In conceptual
design, some of the key aspects of the system must be known and their goal is set. (LOTICH, n.d.)
Some of the steps and approaches include the following
Before embarking on the system design than the project vision, mission and even the specific
objects must be known and set, that is developing sets of goals. For each of the goal that had been
set it is derived and each set of question about it answered. After setting the questions then specify
the metrics needed to answer them. Having specified the metrics then develop a mechanism to
collect the required data and analyst. After performing the above sets of steps you will have been
able to accomplish the system metrics. (B.S, 1978).
2. METRICS AND CONTROLS SEEM HARD BUT THEY LAY A FOUNDATION OF SUPPORT
FOR GOOD SYSTEMS ENGINEERING.
Metrics and controls forms the foundation since they serve an important factor in determining the
efficiency and the effectiveness of any software process. Analysis any of previously set metric and
