Indian ocean / Arabian sea is one of the most busy and important sea the world has. It’s the
access point to all marine pathways into the Arab world. The ocean is mainly used for transport
purposes and fishing activities. The united nations have passed laws that govern the operations in
the sea which aid in bringing order and maintaining security. The ocean has been subjected to
freedom of the sea-doctrine which was a measure put in place in 17th century which limited
national rights and any other jurisdiction over the sea. This left a very narrow belt within the
coastline for any nation to use in the sea. This also happened within the Indian ocean causing a
lot of fights and interference from different states. one major conflict was in line with the coastal
fishing which was a long-distance fishing system which saw countries from afar pollute over the
waters with their oil transporting ships. Others competed for the slot to maintain the big name as
the sea masters and hence this broke a big war. This hazard of pollution continued so largely and
threatened the coastal resorts and other forms of ocean life. Different countries like India,
Arabia, and Russia have been competing through their navies to keep their presence in the globe
on the surface of the waters and also under the ocean.
Looking into the political climate, Indian ocean indeed presents a very vastly unique picture. The
