Vulgar language is something that is common in the workplace. Most people do not
know that it can amount to sexual harassment. Since, both the affected and the perpetrators are
ignorant of this fact, the phenomenon continues to grow its roots in the workplace either
knowingly or unknowingly. The female employees are most affected in the workplace when it
comes to sexual harassment (Sachi, 2014). The language that is used by their co-workers is
fowl, and even though it might be used hypothetically, their presence in that particular office
makes them subject to the resulting offenses.
In this particular case, the plaintiff Ingrid Reeves is subjected to an environment that is
sexually harassing her though indirectly. The names that are used by her male co-workers to
