In the middle period of Ming dynasty, poems and Chinese paintings were the traditional forms of art
from the conservative period of cultural autocracy until the active period, in the early Ming dynasty.
Tang Bohu (Tang Yin,1470-1524) was one famous Chinese painter and poet, who through his paintings
and poems, expressed his emotions and deprecated the feudal ideology. Similarly, Shen Zhou (14271509), Wen Zhengming (1470-1559), Zhu Zhishan (1460-1526) and Tang were also poets who used
poems, as a way to express their emotions.
However, Tang used visualized Chinese pen and ink to show the pursue and desire of a person who had
freedom of thought. He became known in Jiangnan area (JN), -JN is a collective name for southeast of
China because his artworks lacked sage and fake Taoism and as a result, his soul, story, and arts got
more and more famous over time. He encountered many difficulties in his life, which profoundly
affected his work.Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze how his life experiences, affected
his poetry and his painting.
Tang was born in a wealthy family and was well-educated. In 1488, he married Ms. Xu, and only six years
later he had to deal with his first substantial let-down, the death of his father. At this time, having not
completely overcome his father's death, he had to deal with many great afflictions. His mother and
sister died of sudden illness, his wife died of dystocia, and he also lost his son. All in all, he lost all his
close relatives, one by one. The reality was so ruthless that heavily defeated the talent scholar. As a
result, Tang despaired and became poor, eventually.
His friends advised him to pass IES and obtain a job in the government. In 1498 Tang Yin took the first
place in the provincial examinations in Nanjing and became known. It is important to mention that there
are only three tests for the IES. In 1499, 30-year-old Tang went to the capital to take the national
examinations.However, he and his friend Xu Jing were accused of bribing to get the test questions in
advance.As a result, they were jailed, and his hopes for a distinguished civil service career were bashed
