Question description

This project will be based on a relevant course topic that examines a controversy in Indian Country.

When starting to think about and look for a relevant course topic, good areas to examine are sacred sites, legislation pertaining to Native religious traditions/practices, and court cases pertaining to Native religious freedoms.

  1. What is the general topic area you are proposing to research (e.g., sacred site, particular religious practice/ritual, legislation/law, court case, etc.)?
  2. Describe your proposed topic in a few sentences.
  3. How is the topic relevant to course content? For example, we discussed sacred sites, or the topic deals with a law that banned a particular religious practice, etc. ( My course is about Native American Religious Traditions )
