Result
I surveyed 230 participants in my study. The number of students who responded to my survey
was more than the number of teachers: 152 of the participants were students, while 78 of them
were teachers. I asked them about their information such as gender, jobs, and age.

I had an unequal sample of males and females, where 65.8% (50) teachers were female and
34.2% (26) were males. The students were 77.5%(117) females and 22.5% (32) males.

The ages of students who responded to my survey were different. The number of students
between 17-24 years was 54.4%(80). The number of students between 25-34 years was
38.8%(57). The number of students between 33-44 years was 6.8%(10). No one was above 44
years old.

The age of teachers who responded to my survey were different. The number of teachers
between 18-25 years was 13%(10). The number of age teachers between 26-35 years was
61%(47). The number of teachers between 36-45 years was 23.4%(18). The number above 50
years old was 2.6%(2).

Also I sked them about their occupation time. The respond of teacher for full time were
71.8%(65), while 22 (28.2%) of them were part time. However, the full time students were
64.7% 97), and the part time students were 35.3% (53).

46.1%(70) students had Facebook profiles, as opposed to 44%(12) teachers. With Twitter,
64.4%(96) students had profiles, whereas 63%(17) of teachers did. 81.2% (121) students had
Instagram profiles, as opposed to 85.2% (23) teachers. Finally, 33.6% (50) students had profiles
on other social media sites, whereas 11.1%(3) teachers did

3-32.9% (49) students and 33.8% (26) teachers access social media on their laptops. 95.3%
(142) students and 87%(67) teachers access social media on their cell phones. 16.8%(25)
students and 14.3%(11) teachers use their iPads/tablets to access social media, and 1.3%(2)
students and 1.3% (1) teacher use another means of accessing social media.

students and 35.1% of teachers had between 10 and 50 contacts on social media. 10.4% of

face to face communication. 30.3% of students and 22.4% of teachers believe that social media
