Introduction
To this date, there have been controversies about the definition of intelligence, and
therefore, there is no single conclusive definition of intelligence. From the debates, the nature
and properties of intelligence are based on one intelligence school of thought and the multiple
intelligence schools of thought
Regarding the one intelligence school of thought, the proponents hold that there is only
one factor that is used to derive all intelligence. This factor is the multiple intelligence, and its
theorists hold that there exists a different kind of intelligence other than one intelligence. Each
school of thought has its evidence that supports its argument.
Multiple Intelligence
Multiple intelligence theorists by the name Howard Gardner concludes that intelligence
can be categorized into several types. He calls the first type of intelligence as the verballinguistic intelligence that revolves around an individual’s ability to produce oral language as

out that the other type of intelligence is the logical-mathematical intelligence that helps an
