Description

For the final deliverable, you will search for recent articles and/or videos of course topics you chose as applied to real companies.YouTube provides such examples, as well as company websites. The videos will likely not specifically analyze how the company competes with the purchasing or supplymanagement function, but you must critically analyze the video examples with that in mind. SO, YOU MUST CHOOSE VIDEOS THAT ARE INTERESTING AND SUFFICIENTLY COMPLEX IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS. Other options include finding interesting and comprehensive articles in major business magazines or journals like Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, The Economist, and similar print media. Mainly, you should be able to discuss how this company (these companies) use what you learned in this course to succeed in their industry. I do not expect that your final project report attempts to relate all of the course material to the company; rather, it is better to choose fewer course topics (at least three) and to provide an in-depth analysis of those. The final project requires a team submission of a report (as a Word file) of between 1500-2500 words (using Word properties to calculate).

SUPPLY MANAGEMENT

Introduction
Supply management is a process that involves the identification of the products and
services the organization needs to give to the market through the right marketers at a fair and
justifiable price on the required time (Burt, Petcavage, Pinkerton, & Burt, 2010). When the LG
Company started its business in South Korea, many American companies never took it an s a
threat for it was a local organization that showed no future. This company was started in 1958
marking 59 years today by Koo In-hwoi and was originally known as GoldStar but later changed
to LG electronics in around 1995. This is a global company that has more than 83,000 employees
with a revenue return of about $56.50 trillion.
This is the electronic company that was the first to produce South Korea with the first
electronic machines such as radios, televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators and washing
machines. To date, the business magazine of the United States of America has listed LG
corporations as the second largest TV manufacturers across the world. The main reason I decided
to look at this company is to be able to understand the power behind their success. This is a
company that has been existing for more than 58 years and it is still growing and celebrating
their globalization strategies and breakthrough (business-standard.com)
The Educational Topics
Basing on the lessons I have been having in my college, I would like to analyze this
company in three topics which I have chosen. These are the foundation, the requirements
process, and sourcing. The company has always been having a desire to create a better and
happier life for all the people across the world. This is the reason why they have decided to
introduce different products worth different prices to enable all the customers to purchase what
