PAD 340 Southern New Hampshire University Oversight Committees Discussion
Guidelines and Rubric Overview
This competency project is an analysis paper focusing on oversight committees, audits, and special investigations. You will be examining how these types of oversight committees are formed, their rules and regulations, and the processes used to evaluate programs. Your analysis paper will also examine how the results of these types of oversight are used, as well as the factors that can influence both the scope of responsibilities and findings. These mechanisms can provide much-needed oversight for program evaluation; however, the results can be skewed by political influence. This is the first of three competency projects in this course; it is due in Module Three. In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course competency: ? BS-BAD-PAD-CMP-06: Describe the role of oversight committees and audits and triggers for special investigations Prompt What is the purpose of oversight committees? What are the mechanisms of oversight that can be used by oversight committees to further evaluate programs? What factors influence oversight structures? Specifically, you must address the critical elements listed below. I. Purpose of Oversight Committees: In this section, you will examine the purpose of oversight committees and how they are used to evaluate programs. A. Describe the purpose of an oversight committee, why it is formed, and who is involved in its creation. B. Explain the processes that oversight committees must follow to evaluate programs and how the results are used to inform program improvement. C. Describe a real-life example of how an oversight committee’s actions have been effective, using specific details to illustrate. II. Audits and Special Investigations: In this section, you will describe how audits and special investigations are used by oversight committees. In your response, remember to include what triggers the need for a special investigation. III. Factors That Influence Oversight: In this section, you will examine how different factors influence oversight committees in their roles, responsibilities, and findings. How would these factors influence the scope of responsibilities and the results of the findings? Be sure to build on your ideas and learning from the Module Two short paper.

Be very specific as you design the training program. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your full comprehension of the information and concepts discussed throughout the course. List the types of exercise, duration, sets, reps, rest intervals, and so on.Include the following in your case study submission:A description of your professional responsibilities as discussed in the stages of the drawing-in process (Unit 12)Discussion of any fitness tests, methods of evaluation, and data collection used to assess and evaluate the client's needsSpecific conditions that you have identified in the client profileA fully detailed 12-week comprehensive and periodized training program including specific exercises, sets, repetitions, suggested rest times, etc. Use an integrated approach in your program recommendations.Specific and detailed nutritional strategies and an explanation as to how the strategies will assist the client in meeting energy needsExplanation for your chosen assessment, programming, and nutritional recommendations. (Be sure to reference course concepts when discussing rationale for your recommendations.Keep in mind that a client should be able to take your program and put it into practice without having to contact you to clarify what you intended by your recommendations or to explain parts of your program.Don't forget your explanation for WHY you listed and recommended what you did. Reference the concepts and theories covered in the course. Be sure to address why the program and exercises recommended are appropriate for the specific client given the client's history, current abilities, and intended goal(s). For example: if you are developing a program for a beginner client without any resistance training experience, explain how your program addresses the lack of experience, initial need for foundational development, process by which you would safely progress the client, etc. Tying your program to course concepts is a critical component of your case study.Review the Client Profile below.Client Profile: Clark KentAge: 17Gender: MaleResting Heart Rate: 55 bpmHeight: 5'11"Weight: 165 lbBody Fat Percentage: 15%Background and Goals: Clark is a junior in high school and is eager to gain some muscle mass and strength before his final football season next year.
