Spontaneous, Guided and Directed

The purpose of this assignment is for you to explore the different levels of
teacher/adult involvement in children’s play. In a three to five page paper,
you are to: 

  • Define, describe, and discuss children’s spontaneous,
         guided and directed play 

  • Detail specific examples of spontaneous, guided and
         directed play 

  • Describe the adult’s or teacher’s role in each of these
         styles of play 

  • Include an analysis of the value of each in a child’s
         development and learning

Include an introduction, thesis, and conclusion in your paper. Students
may find Chapter 5 of the course text relevant to this assignment.

A minimum of two references, excluding the textbook, must be used.

Your paper must be in APA format.
