The risk treatment method used is Avoidance. It is because by removing "Symbian"
compatibility from the project, the risk associated with "Symbian" system cannot happen. The
risk associated with this type is categorized as a technical or performance risk (PMBOK Guide,
Fifth edition, p359). It is because of the complexity of new technology. The team had no prior
experience with Symbian, and the Symbian operating system was not compatible with several
other software. Therefore, instead of putting the whole project in jeopardy, the client would
mitigate the risk associated with Symbian by halting the use of the Symbian operating system.
If a section of the project becomes difficult for the company to perform, the best risk
treatment method to use would be Transference. A competent company would achieve the tricky
