When cord clamping happens to be done 30 seconds after birth, it is then referred to as
delayed cord clamping. In as much as delayed cord clamping has some benefits, it also has some
risks. There are some risks that have been identified with the delayed cord clamping with respect
to bilirubin whereby, the levels of bilirubin increase in the newborn hence leading to
