MOVIE 1
This movie talks about the bill of rights. It talks about the bill of rights having 10 amendments,
ratified in 1791 when George Washington became the first U.S president. The First Amendment
gives us freedom of speech, petition, assembly, religion, and press. One has the freedom to
express ideas and say whatever he or she want to but not use the right to make others feel unsafe.
The press has the freedom to write what they want but should not print liable information and the
same case applies to religion. Citizens also have the right to send written complaints to the

government. The Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms and every citizen has a right
to protect him or herself. The Third Amendment protects the army from wanting to quarter
soldiers to live in your house. People are entitled to the right of privacy and therefore the police
should not storm to any home when they have not been given a search warrant by the court
signed by the judge. The Fourth Amendment talks about how the police are able to search your
house. The Fifth Amendment talks about how the government would treat an American if
accused of a crime. The accused is guaranteed the right to a grand jury, the right to due process,
absence of double jeopardy that is an individual cannot be accused twice of the same crime, right
of eminent domain in that no private property can be taken without them being compensated and
the right to the absence of self-incrimination in that, one cannot testify against him or herself.
The Sixth Amendment talks about one having the right to a speedy or faster trial. One has the
right to a lawyer, a good jury and an opportunity to confront the witnesses. The Seventh
Amendment provides the right to a faster civil trial or when someone sues someone else for a
crime. The Eighth Amendment protects an individual when found guilty. It protects one from
excessive fines or bails and from unusual and cruel punishments. The Ninth Amendment protects
the right of people that are not listed in the constitution. The Tenth Amendment talks of the
powers that are not listed in the constitution for the national government are kept for the people
and the state government. This is the summary of the movie.
MOVIE 2
The movie talks about the congress which is our national legislature, the president of the United
States and the U.S Supreme Court. The U.S government operates on two different levels; these
are the national and state, a system known as federalism. This helps in finding local solutions to
local problems and national solutions to the national problems. The U.S national defense forces

and the economic policies are the sole provinces of the federal government. It would be
expensive if each state would control all these them. From the tenth amendment, it largely
reserves power to the states and therefore the responsibilities have shifted to the national
government. The federal and state government is similar. The difference is the constitution, in
that; the federal government has got a brief and general constitution while the state government’s
constitution has got a lengthy and specific to a fault. The state constitution though does not
disagree with the national constitution. The federal constitution affects every individual in the
United States while the state laws affect only the people in that specific state. A state is usually
divided into small units known as districts where legislatures are elected. The legislatures listen
to the citizens of their districts so that they can be able to represent their needs in the state
capital. The legislature also helps the governor in preparing the state budgets. It can also impeach
