From the novel, quite a lot can be predicted with regard to the flow of events as outlined
in the drafting of the novel. It is clear that Blanche is quite jealous of Jane though she does not
display it out rightly in the open. However, it is all flowing through her thoughts. This is through
the way she perceives what is going on and the judgment she gives for the situation presented.
She describes Jane of being very showy and not genuine and having a poor mind. Her phrases
paint her as not being original and not having opinions of her own and a betrayer of her own self.
She described her further as having low qualifications and never to charm the man she sought to
please.
Her interpretation of situation is quite diversified at first but slowly comes to validity
with the flow of the story. At first she does not understand the motives of Mr. Rochester. She
believes that Mr. Rochester is quite deep into the lady Igram and predicts his aim in marrying
her. However, she slowly realizes the motive of the interest Mr. Rochester has. She realizes the
connections lady Ingram has and how much they favored Mr. Rochester. Therefore she begins to
predict Mr. Rochester’s plot which later turns out to be true with accordance to the outcome.
Jealousy is intensely used in the present day to gain a lot. Being a competitive world,
jealous play an important part as a competing tool between contesting parties in the current
