Description of the global health issue
Ebola is a global health issue because in one way or another, the whole world has been
affected by it. It is a deadly and fatal viral disease that affects both humans and animals. The
effects of the disease depend on the strain which is either Ebola-Zaire or Ebola-Reston. The
infection of the disease can be transmitted to another individual or animal through having a
direct contact with tissues or fluids like blood of the infected. Ebola spreads quickly amongst
people who are very close like family members, friends, and people working together or
travelling (Hinman, 1998).
Description of the affected population
Ebola affected most African countries but Liberia and other neighboring countries like
Sierra Leon and Guinea were affected. The outbreak appeared in 1976 in South Sudan and
