Introduction
In today's economy, the growth of the business has spanned into many networks and
offices locally, regionally and internationally. All these departments are required to work
together and be in constant touch with their client base. It, therefore, calls for such organizations
to develop systems that enable the free flow of information from one end to the other to
accomplish business goals efficiently. Electronic commerce also referred as e-commerce allows
organizations carry on their business on an electronic network usually the Internet. E-commerce
is a platform, which allows buying and selling of products and services as well as transmitting
money or data over the Internet. As a result, e-commerce enhances the distribution networks for
a firm's goods and services as well as link operations within the organization despite the office
locations. E-commerce is not only limited to buying and selling of commodities only but also
involves online collaborations, interaction and information discovery also referred to as ebusiness. The adoption of e-commerce in business contributes to significant growth due to
