Purpose of Quality Management in the Health Care Industry.
Quality management has been identified as a critical requirement in healthcare settings.
Quality management means that healthcare is patient-centric. The fundamental objective of
imparting quality management in an organization is to ensure that patients are sufficiently taken
care of and care is fully tuned to the needs of the patient. Since the expectations and
requirements of patients are different overtime, it is imperative that quality management
upgrades itself to ensure consistency with changing requirements. Quality management is also
about the cooperation of service providers to come up with goals to improve services. Generally,
quality managements aims to ameliorate how effective treatments are and improve the
satisfaction of patients, owing to a rise in health costs and an aging population.
