Focus on what has stood out to you most, as that will likely be what you carry with you going forward, even if it does not apply now.
***Of all the reading assignments for this week, the most interesting topic was the logic model. This subject area has left me with the most questions. From my interpretation, the logic model is a well used tool by program administrators in the social service fields to describe whether or not particular programs are effective. Throughout most of the article, the logic model is depicted as more of a tool used at the highest program level. This reading has left me wondering if this tool could be used on a smaller scale as well. Discussion question: Could this tool be used to describe the effectiveness of one individual treatment plan as opposed to an entire program?

The logic model is best suited in describing entire programs but can also be used describe
the effectiveness of a single treatment plan. In the case of an individual treatment plan, the basic
elements of the logic model must be present. They include; a situation, inputs, outputs, and
outcomes (Millar et al., 2001). In setting a single treatment plan, various factors ought to be
considered for the achievement of the desired goal. For the treatment, several requirements must
be provided to address the purpose of the treatment, its components, and the flow of activities for
its fulfillment. Therefore, the logic model will be the best option in the planning process for a
specific plan. A single treatment plan could be considered as a specific objective of a larger
project. Even though its specificities are unique, there must be key inputs which steer it to
achievement (McLaughlin et al., 1999).
The inputs for that case include; money, time, skills, knowledge, labor, and facilities.
Such inputs for a single treatment plan communicate its importance and quality. Unlike the case
of an entire program, a sole objective with these inputs proves to be worth engaging. Its inputs
correspond to its output (Millar et al., 2001). That is; if the treatment plan consumes a lot of
resources, then the output will be much bigger than when using fewer resources. Therefore for
future implementation of workable plans, it will be paramount to utilize the logical model
category of inputs to foresee the workability of my plan. With such, I will be able to adjust my
