The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was established to safeguard the human
rights in the world. This internal document contains the various declarations that pertain
every human in terms of freedom, justice, and peace. The Universal Declaration of Human
Rights contains not only the rights, but also the cultural, political, social, and economic rights
of the people. Over the year, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has faced numerous

drawbacks and scepticism from some scholars and individuals. In article 30, which states,
“Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person
any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the
rights and freedoms set forth herein,” only repeated the declaration of principles of equality
and liberty that were mentioned in the other parts of the declaration("What is the Universal

The preamble of the declaration generalizes the human right without acknowledging
that there are different forms of human rights. In reality, there are social, political, and
cultural types of human rights. Generalizing the human rights is unrealistic today. The
Universal Declaration of Human Rights is made up of ideologies but lacks a law enforcing

Commission", 2017). All the articles in the declaration bare no fruit if there is not the body
that enforces them, more so in the modern world.
