Successful changes are initiatives or policies put in place to improve or increase the
organization performance while dismal failure is a state where the change efforts and the
initiated ideologies fail to take effect in and organization. These changes are forced into
organizations constantly due to factors like technology, product competition, change in market
supply and demand, change in customer tastes and preferences, government policies, new
entrants in the market and globalization (Gleeson, 2016).
Successful Change Initiative within an Organization
In order to achieve successful change, good leadership skills should be dispensed. There
are various reasons why an organization would initiate changes. According to Henderson, Beach,
and Finkelstein (2011), when organizational goals have not been achieved an organization will
re-assess the performance and adapt new initiatives that would help in achieving high
performance. Additionally, change in technology from time to time will force an organization to
change to the more advanced technological systems. When there is high turnover in an
organization, it should be a wake-up call that something is wrong.
There are various initiatives that an organization can put into place in order to ensure
